A NEW UNDERGROUND IMPRINT ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST REMIX SERIES
What started as a single remix idea quickly evolved into something much bigger.
The first release on our new underground imprint will be a carefully curated remix series built around The Awakening. A group of artists were invited to reinterpret the original track, each bringing their own distinct perspective, sound, and creative identity to the project.
Rather than presenting everything in a single release, the project will unfold in two separate EPs, allowing each chapter to stand on its own.
The first EP focuses on techno in its different forms — ranging from hypnotic club energy and modern peak-time pressure to more melodic and acid-driven interpretations, alongside an initial exploration into broken rhythms.
The second EP expands further into more experimental territory, including breakbeat, jungle-inspired rhythms, glitch textures, and other forward-thinking underground styles.
Together, both EPs highlight the diversity of the artists involved while still remaining connected through the original composition.
The imprint has been created as a companion to Purple Desert. While Purple Desert remains dedicated to techno, this new platform is focused on a broader spectrum of underground electronic music — without being restricted to a single genre. The emphasis lies on artistic freedom, quality, and individuality.
