We are very pleased to announce we cross international borders with Russia. Vitaliy Kukharev lands his debut EP on Purple Desert Records and represents a new chapter for this exciting talent.
There’s something distinctive about the Russian-born artist’s productions that provoke a special response.
Opening with the sequenced arpeggios and dark atmosphere, Kukharev pushes ‘Antique Clock’ for a dark-time rinse.
‘Antique Box’ follows, a track written with absorbing influences from across the analogue gear, things get more intense and turbulent with increasing pressure.
‘From Russia with love’ would have fit nicely as a title of the EP, as the first remix of ‘Antique Clock’ have been created by Rutgerhauer.
The 2nd Russian musician which entered the mainframe of the label.
Rutgerhauer’s remix packs a memorable punch as tough underground undertones effects undulate raising the intensity, for an explosion towards the drop.
The evolution of music is a systematic cycle that never ends with reverb-heavy sonics which is audible in his remix.
Followed by label owner’s remix of ‘Antique Clock’, where his musicality is in full view and the industrial tones which build an eerie tension alongside some percussion-tinged‘Remake by Impello’ strike through the limits of this energy driven track that unify for a momentous finale.
A classy conclusion to an EP from the label’s newest talents.
